Description: Currently Oregon grown. Leeks belong to the same family as the onion. They are delicate in flavor and have long, flat, green leaves, closely folded together. The bottom, or bulb, is white and only a little fatter than the leaves. Leeks can be cooked and served in much the same way as celery and asparagus and can be used anywhere you would use an onion. They are delicious in omelets, on pizzas, in soups and main dishes.   Note: We do our best to ship quality produce to Alaska and Hawaii, but due to unknown conditions at the barge lines, we cannot guarantee the quality on arrival.
