Catalina’s Coffee Coffee, Whole Bean, 100% Arabica Super Dark

Description: Catalina’s Coffee. Not all coffees are created equal. Our coffee is unique and most likely the freshest and smoothest you will ever taste. Coffee has been an adventure for us. Catalina’s Coffee is grown on coffee farms in the Nicaraguan Highlands.  It is shipped to Waldport, Oregon, where we roast and bag it. Our coffee is purchased from a green bean coffee broker who carries the “organically grown” certificate and buys directly from coffee farms in the Nicaraguan Highlands. Our coffee is shade grown and hand picked. Our coffee is shade grown at an altitude of 3,300 feet. There are no pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides used in the growth of our coffee beans, ultimately making them “organically grown”. Made from certified organic coffee beans Our beans are from a single area of Nicaragua. Our beans are not mixed with any other coffee beans from different areas. Coffee quality is judged by a process called cupping, which is an external process of a non-biased nature held to worldwide standards. Our coffee has scored well. Some aspects judged are: fragrance (dry beans), aroma (hot water infused beans), sweetness, acidity, body, uniformity, and balance. Catalina’s super dark roast is bold flavored, good aroma, mild acidity, excellent body, balance, and superb finish. It has an even more robust flavor than the normal dark roast. Our super dark roast is truly an amazing traditional cup of coffee. Each batch of Catalina’s Coffee is freshly roasted, by us, on a Toper 10 Kilo traditional drum roaster at our home in the Pacific Northwest.
