If any cattle are extremely sick and require antibiotics, they are pulled from the meat program and properly identified. A weaning feedlot is used for a short period of two weeks while calves are being weaned from their mothers. During this time, they are only fed homegrown hay and non-GMO alfalfa. Summary: Cunningham’s grass-finished beef is never fed grain, so the meat is leaner and has less fat than the typical store-bought beef. Their grass-fed ground beef is a blend of 80-85% lean round, chuck, brisket and trim quality cuts, and is included in the Slow-Cooker Variety Pack as well as several varieties of roasts (chuck roast, arm roast, Cross Rib Roast, Rump, etc.) and a mixture of shank, stew or cube steak.
